Day 3-A day of temptations

Day 3 has been the hardest so far due to temptations that weren't there the first two days. I work for an incredible organization and they like to spoil us rotten (and fat). Today they provided several trays of chicken minis from Chick fil a and they had a new apple cider Keurig cup and it smelled deliciously wonderful. I resisted all and stayed strong! Jesse was working on a house today and the owner was baking homemade apple cake. The guy was eating it and talking about how wonderful it is with butter melted over it, then offered Jesse some. Poor Jesse! He resisted. And pouted maybe just a little...

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I've prepared two dishes that are Whole 30 approved. Sweet potato casserole (coconut milk, coconut oil, cinnamon, vanilla extract, eggs; no sugars and no butter) and crustless  pumpkin pie (organic pumpkin puree, eggs, coconut milk, spices). Hopefully eating these things will help us enjoy the tradition of Thanksgiving dinner without feeling like we are being deprived. After all, this challenge isn't about depriving ourselves or punishing ourselves--it's about eating good, nutrient foods that do good things for our bodies.

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Hug your loved ones. Put down your phones. Spend time being together. That is all. I will leave you with this...
